if hamlet went to nova
If Hamlet went to NOVA High School, he’d be judged; ‘cause that’s what people do nowadays, they judge, and this school is no different. In fact, everyone, students and staff, would start by forming their opinions based on his appearance, his looks, his style, because that’s the first thing people notice about strangers.
Then they’d move on to his character and behaviour, and slowly form a more solid and precise idea about Hamlet. In this case, it wouldn’t be a negative idea, given the fact that Hamlet is very pensive and likes to think and analyze before acting, (maybe a bit too much though.) Furthermore, he is cunning and simultaneously mysterious, thus, attracting many curious and nosy students.
Lastly, people would judge him based on his family, which is a very important factor when one is part of the NOVA community, given the fact that the whole school seems to be based on rich and well educated families. This last factor would both aid and harm Hamlet’s reputation. Namely, his elevated princely status would probably encourage many people to be his friend. However, his madness, the fact that his mother married her late husband’s brother, and the fact that the latter killed his brother and former king, would plant negative opinions in people’s minds.
Thus, I don’t have a specific opinion on where Hamlet would fit, but I know that like everyone, he’d first have to go through a series of what one could call “tests” to gain people’s admiration, love, or care.
